New to the Taft Shoes collection is the brand Clarks Originals.
The Clarks story begins in 1825 in Street, Somerset, where Cyrus Clark opened a tannery for producing leather goods together with his brother James. Among the sheepskins, James had an idea: he wanted to use the offcuts to make slippers. In doing so, he minimized waste, maximized ingenuity, and set the course for the next 200 years of shoemaking. Every Clarks shoe since that very first pair has been built on a distinctive combination of innovation and craftsmanship  the foundation of everything they do.

Since 1950, the Desert Boot has been one of the most popular Clarks Originals models for both women and men. The leather and suede Desert Boots have remained virtually unchanged ever since and feature the signature natural rubber crepe sole, offering effortless comfort and style all year round.
