Pikolinos was founded in 1984 by the current director Juan Peran. Pikolinos shoes are known for the special leather they are made from. The leather is vegetable-tanned inside the factories in Alicante. First, the shoes are dyed. After this, the leather is cut, stitched and finally assembled. Pikolinos responds to current trends. This can be seen in, among other things, the soles, the details, and the use of colors.
Founder Peran Ramos established a foundation to give back to society. The Juan-Peran-Pikolinos Foundation collaborates with more than 70 NGO’s to help over 16.000 families each year. This foundation was established in 2009 under the Pikolinos Solidarity label. This label was created as an umbrella for all Pikolinos’ social projects.
