Shelley Tichborne grew up in the rugged, beautiful landscapes of New Zealand and developed a deep appreciation for nature, which inspired her to pursue a career in environmentally conscious fashion. In 2002, she realized her dream of starting her own creative company and launched Mou, a luxury brand that produces original products made from natural fibers. Mou is the opposite of fast fashion. The collection consists of at least 95% natural fibers, and wherever possible, they choose materials that are biodegradable, recycled and/or recyclable, do not generate hazardous waste, do not deplete natural resources, and are not by-products of other industries. Every Mou piece is crafted with love and designed to last, with durable soles and finishes that age beautifully.
